I've recently been given this model. I want to record on to an external hard drive. I've got a 1TB one that that's been used for backing up my Apple computers. I've decrypted it and formatted it yet when I connect it to the TV it shows only 0.2MB of available space. I've noticed that on other threads on this forum the recommended format is either FAT33 or NTFS. Using Disk Utility on my Mac, neither of these are available to me.  I can choose between 4 types of APFS, 2 types of MAC OS, and MS-DOS (FAT).

Are any of these suitable?

Thanks

Thanks. I assumed it supported recording to HDD. What other type of recording hardware (other than set top boxes) would the USB be for?

Okay, but given there is a recording facility built in, the TV recognises my HDD, and can record to it (up to a limit of 0.2 MB), I'm pretty confident that I'm on the right track and that it's a formatting matter that's causing the problem. Thanks.
