I have recently been given a second hand samsung smart tv model UE40D5520RK. I appreciate it is an older model but it is more modern than the one I had. I can find how to record a tv programme but unable to find how to playback. I have bought a USB3 hdd for recording. It shows the device is connected. Is this the right device and will it record on freeview channels? Unfortunately I know very little about TV's and would be grateful for some help.
