Hello,
I purchased the QN55Q80TAFXZC and JBL 9.1 soundbar. Both devices support atmos. I connected the soundbar via eARC. When navigating in the sound option I am not able to enable the Atmos option. It's grayed out. When I play the Okja movie on Netflix Premium my bar displays Dolby Surround and not Dolby Atmos (since the Atmos logo does not appear on the movie it makes sense).
I factory reset the TV and made sure that the firmware was up to date. I disconnected all devices and remove power on both devices and still not luck.
Is this a known issue ?
Thanks !

Tomorrow iam getting my hdmi 2.1 cable, I think it won't make any difference but it worth a try ( I need one for the next consoles). And maby iam going to reset te q90t and don't update the firmware. Maby firmware 1304 is the problem.

Oke very strange, this morning everything worked as it should. I could use passtrough also for the apps on the Samsung and with auto it also detected Atmos. Also compatibility with Atmos wasn't greyed out anymore.
The strange thing I didn't do anything one thing changed and that was yesterday and it was the update from JBL. But yesterday it didn't work so I don't get it 🤷.
Iam still using the hdmi cable witch came with the JBL bar 9.1 used it in hdmi port 3 earc to arc form the soundbar.

This is exactly what happened to me haha. It's bittersweet because I'm glad it's working, but if it reverts back to non-compatibility I'll have no idea what to do again. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it stays this way!

Any update from Samsung. Should I return the q80T that has the same problem as defective?
