QLED Q60R power light flickering leading to restarting of TV

Hi,

I have a QLED Q60R 55 inch TV which I purchased last year. Past 3 days the TV has been randomly restarting. Everytime I press a button on the remote it restarts. Sometimes it just restarts on it's own - like every 5 seconds. I've disconnected both remotes (universal and the normal one), but still the problem persists.

I've switched off the TV from the power supply, I've disconnected all inputs, I've even reset the TV, but still facing with the problem.

What I've noticed is that the power led, which is at the bottom of the TV, below the samsung logo, has been flickering continuously. It never used to flicker earlier. It used to be a steady red when the tv is off and the led would go off when the tv is on. It would only blink when it receives input from the remote. I don't know why this is continuously flickering now.

The random restarts has been still going on and I'm afraid the TV screen will get spoilt due to this.

Can someone please assist in what is the problem and how to resolve it?

Thanks.

@BSouza: I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. If the LED on the TV is constantly flickering following the troubleshooting steps you have attempted, then there may be a fault with the device. With this in mind I recommend reaching out to our AV Team via the link below where an advisor will be able to look into this further for you, and arrange any necessary repairs. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Did you ever get this issue resolved ? I am having the same problem with my Q60 55” I cant find guidance online and I’ve already had a chat with a Samsung representative that didn’t help. I’ve left it unplugged for a few hours, checked the cable, and have a great quality surge protector. I purchased this TV in December of 2019 and now it’s completely unusable. Currently very disappointed with Samsung’s Quality, and customer service.

Well, the TV self healed. Samsung were able to set me up with their servicing team. Those guys called me and when I spoke to them, they said they got the details from Samsung and they would come and replace the screen. I was taken aback, because 'what has the screen got to do with the remote sensor acting up'. I didn't want them to change the screen as I was concerned it might crop up some other issues.
So I told them to give me a day or two to decide. In the meanwhile, I search the net and obviously couldn't find anything.

This is what I did:
1. I removed batteries to all remotes (cause I thought the remove was jammed and was continuously sending signal to the tv)
2. I shut down the TV and removed the plug
3. I disconnected all cables, other than power.
Kept it like this for a day.
Next morning, I went and switched it on, and voila, the led stopped flickering. I kept the tv on for a couple of hours, without touching anything, and then gradually put in one cable at a time. Started with aerial and tv remote. then lan. then optical.

and the issue has so far not come back.

I read somewhere that it might be the optical cable which might have caused the issue, but i don't know if you have an optical connected.

so in brief, just unplug everything and keep it disconnected for 24 hours.

Let me know if this works.

All the best. I know how stressful this can be.

Hi, did you resolve your issue or did you just get a new TV?
My 55 QLED started doing the same but nothing has helped including following the BSouza advice.
thanks

Same issue here just out of warranty. Tried all sorts of power cycles plus removing batteries from remotes and unplugging cables and plugging them back but no solution. Tv keeps power cycling.

I was a Samsung fan before having issues, now I’ve converted to LG and all is good so far…..
