I usually control Spotify from my phone and connect to a convenient speaker. I have just bought a Samsung TV, which is connected via an optical link to a Canton soundbase, so I want to connect to the TV. It seems to me that to do that I first need to start the Spotify app on the TV, which is annoying. Is it possible to run the Spotify app in the background so that Spotify on my phone knows that the TV is available for casting?
