Rarely write reviews but hoping Samsung read, digest and action !!

I've just purchased a 55inc QD OLED S595 and found :-

PROS -- Picture and sound quality cannot be faulted. Brilliant colours and sound. I have a Samsung sounder from my previous TV and not felt the need to connect it yet.

CONS - Minor = No BBC text service ! Why ?? I know there was a suggestion that the BBC were going to discontinue it, but, following public reaction, have retained it . Give us the service Samsung !

A bit more disappointing is the Channel list. It would be much more use if the list showed the up-coming ( next )  program / s on the program list . If I am watching a program then the channel list just tells what I am missing - really useful ( not ! ).

Finally, as I said the picture and sound quality are excellent, and, if Samsung improve ( hopefully via a software / firmware update )  their terrible UI, then any review would be worthy of 5 stars instead of the 2-3 stars I would give it at the moment !

Hi @Aquatodd  Thanks for  your comments.  I gather the UI may not be the most user friendly and not everyone will find the navigation straightforward  but generally once used to the design /functions consumers do pick things up.  Whilst it may  be somewhat subjective  one of the technical experts review here https://www.expertreviews.co.uk/samsung/1416472/samsung-s95b-review

With regard to the BBC text service

You may need to use the Red Button for interactive services.

Information relayed from Samsung  a while ago was:

Due to broadcast changes it is no-longer possible to access BBC interactive services using the Teletext button. Please note, TVs that are not connected to the internet and some older models may still show some information if the Teletext button is pressed.

It is now necessary to press the RED button to launch BBC interactive services. Just make sure that your signed in to your Samsung Account on the TV and BBC iPlayer app."
