The last few days in the UK have been very hot. At the same time my flagship Q9F (2.5 years old) starting playing up. The sound very briefly cuts out. Oddly, I noticed, this was only happening in the evening. My theory was, given direct sunlight only enters the living room from about 4pm, then overheating might be an issue.
So I directed a fan at the TV box. After a minute or so the sound issue went away. This proved to be repeatable. Clearly the TV box is overheating.
Anyone any ideas what could be the cause of the overheating? Does the TV box of the Q9F have a cooling system?
Samsung have wiped their hands of it, saying it's out of warranty. I expect more from Samsung, especially as this was their flagship model and cost £2799 just over 2 years ago.
