Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could help me please, because this is the 2nd Samsung Tv I have had in 12 months and the problem persists!
I have a new Samsung UE55BU8500KXXU & a Samsung S801B 3.1.2ch Lifestyle both of which are set up with the smart things app!
I have set all settings on both Tv & soundbar to Q-symphony but when I turn the tv off the sound settings revert back to tv speakers everytime! I have tried everything! Why does the tv no save the settings?

Two ways to manually set it, first is via the TV quick menu or otherwise into the Sound Settings menu, for both you need to toggle until to get TV+AV = Q Symphony, if you do not see that then something is wrong.
Easy yet pain in the ***** method is to reset the soundbar, sub, not 100% if the TV is required, as sometimes it is just a pairing issue.

I have je exact same issue and it doesn't make sense. Why make a feature that doesn't stay on

Yeah we have the same issue. We have the Samsung 75" QN900B 8K TV from 2022 I think and Samsungs latest soundbar HW-Q995C. Both updated with latest. Every other day I see that Q-Symphony is disengaged. Really annoying, cause I can clearly hear a diffrence when its on vs off. However its not disconnected EVERY time we turn off the TV, but maybe 50% of the time when we turn the TV back on, Q-Symphony is gone.
We have only one device connected to the soundbar, and its the Nvidia Shield. However, its set to power off when Soundbar is off.

Hi there! "Funny" to see this comment popping up in my email notifications.... Last Saturday night I changed it again to tv+soundbar. And it is still enabled!.... I actually didn't change or do anything else so sorry can't help you here. I'm just not understanding myself, the only thing I can think I did before this was resetting the soundbar once....
I hope it works out for you!

Had same issue. I unplugged the soundbar’s power cord along with the eArc HDMI cable from the soundbar and TV. Reinserted them, powered up and in sound settings chose QSymphony. Works fine now.
