Problems with smarthub Web browser downloading apps

Hi All, I have the HT-E5500 series with the latest software version 1024.0 (which I notice is still several years old).

Ok, so I'm trying to use the web browser function in smarthub to (for example), to download and install Disney channel .

I click on the install link but nothing happens. Have also tried through play store but again no joy.

Is there a newer version smarthub that I need or other app, or am I missing something else?

BTW, the mouse movement through the remote is like watching paint dry! 😂😵

Just to confirm, are you using the web browser of your Smart Hub to dowload these apps?

This could be the problem, @PeterAU1. The web browser on the Smart Hub does not have the same functionality as the web browser on a laptop or PC and can, in comparison, be quite limited due to the OS restrictions. The apps available to you through the Smart Hub are the apps that can be located through the 'search' feature of the Smart Hub, so, in a nutshell, if they can't be located, they're not available to download we're afraid.
