PROBLEM samsung UE40D5520 tv on start logo loops with HDMI1 and repeats

Please can I ask for help. I have a samsung UE40D5520 TV. On start up, it now just shows the logo then HDMI1 on top left, and repeats this forever. The remote control has no effect - even to turn on and off tv. It cannot change sources.

Can anybody help please.

Thank you so much for your reply. No I do not have anything plugged into the USB sockets. But I did try getting the most recent update, putting it on a USB stick, and then trying to upload that onto the tv via a USB stick. That did not work.

@77TS: Are you using the physical power button on the TV itself to switch it on? If so, if you check around the Power button then you may find a physical source button which you can press to change source to your preferred option. In the meantime, try unplugging the TV for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in to see if this helps, and change the batteries in your remote control.
