Prime Video app won't stream 4K UHD

I have Q6FN with a 500mbps+ internet connection. All software is up-to-date.

When I choose a 4K content on Prime Video with a UHD logo (such as the Hobbit films), it still only streams the video in 1080p. 

What is the solution to this?

In the meantime, you may also wish to check the Video and Display settings in the app itself, to explore your available options from here. Typically, setting this to 'Auto' should output in the highest available resolution for any media you choose.

that solution is really irrelevant. the problem is not finding 4k content. the content is there. it still streams in HD though. 

also there are no Video and Display settings in the app at all.
