Poor Poor QLED

[QLED 65 1]

So disappointed with a tv that I bought just over 2 years ago…..QLED 65” 

Basically tv just broke…used in a bedroom so doesn’t get used that often. Tuned it on one night and flickered for 10 secs and now tv is black and white on the left and colour on the right. Screen full of thick black lines and Samsung not interested unless I pay!!!! For someone who has only Samsung tv’s at home along with Samsung fridge in the kitchen……They have lost a customer who will never buy this brand again!!!! After reading up lately on this type of tv, it seems a massive problem worldwide……..DO NOT BUY IF YOU WHAT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER ANY ISSUE!!!!

I'm sorry to hear of your issues with your Samsung Television.

A warranty is typically 2 years in the UK. When you bought it, I'm assuming there wasn't a 5 year warranty offer on that you took up?

How did you pay for the device? If you paid by CREDIT CARD you could approach your card issuer and try a Section 75 Claim (your card issuer is jointly liable with the retailer).

If you paid by DEBIT card then you don't have the same protections.

Sadly in today's tech world, things do break and once a gadget has left the retailer and gone into the home, no one knows how the gadget has been looked after, any condensation that may have got into the device, kids / dogs / cats etc (don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting any of this applies to you but many other members will read this thread).

So just to clarify you've got all Samsung TVs and a fridge 1 has broken and you've decided Samsung = bad?

If you watched TV show didn't enjoy it would you just never watch TV again? Ever had a bad meal and just decide never to eat again?
