Microsoft 's New app will allow users to play games without a console on  2022 Samsung Smart Tv's.  Xbox  Ultimate Members will have access to  100 cloud enabled Games including Xbox  Game studio titles the day they are released. Fornite can be streamed for free even if you are not an Ultimate Member.  The partnership with Samsung is launching first, though Microsoft  will consider other TV partnerships.

@resuvt The app is being launched on June 30th. Yes should be available on all 2022 models.

Such disappointment. I regret paying such a high price for a premium 8k TV that is not even getting updates...

This was announced a few days ago regarding 2021 TVs... https://bit.ly/3OaVZ9B
"Eligible 2021 models include: QN800, QN850, QN900, WS1A, QN700, LS03A, AU7000, AU8000, AU9000, Q50, Q60 & Q95-Q70".
"includes"... so not limited to the models listed.

Also, they've updated https://www.samsung.com/us/televisions-home-theater/tvs/gaming-hub/ with:
"What if I have an older Samsung Smart TV? Will I have access to game streaming services?

We are in the process of updating 2021 televisions to give them access to game streaming services without the need of a console. More details coming soon"

Safe to say I'll be checking the website regularly, hoping they'll include the Smart Monitors released last year.

Thats how i feel about my 6 series from 2017. I bought a tv only 5 years ago and by 2019 it was already incompatible with the regular updates and basic features. I love the products Samsung puts out, but their services and morals are egregious.

Who at Samsung makes these decisions? Because I think we need to talk to them. People dont purchase a new tv every single year like some people do with Apple products. We invest 500+ bucks on a tv, we should be eligible for updates for at least 5 years from model's release date. I can't even get Airplay/Casting because my model is ONE year too late.  THIS IS RIDICULOUS. FIX YOUR ETHICS SAMSUNG.

It's not all about the money when you start losing customers like me because you try forcing us to buy a new model every year!!!!

Thats great as long as the TV works.

I had a £2,000 QLED tv which lasted 356 hours of screen time so less than 45 mins use a day until the screen failed. It's out of warranty so cost about £5.60 an hour to watch. Engineer says it might not be worth replacing the screen.
