I was watching my tv and without touching anything, the screen went distorted. I have taken two pictures of the screen in this state. One is from watching youtube through the app on the tv and the other is watching my foxtel box through HDMI1.
This is the third time it has happened in about 4 months.
The only thing that seems to fix it is to remove power from the tv and then plug it back in. (using the standby button doesn't fix it)
I've tried to do a software update, but it reports that it is up to date.
I'm abit concerned as the tv is less than a year old.
The tv is a samsung 65ru7100 and the problem occurs on any signal source.
I have tried running the picture test in the support menu...and the picture does not show this distortion. When the picture test stops, the distortion re-appears.
Any idea what is happening?
