We recently bought a new Samsung TV to replace previous Samsung TV.

With our previous TV we could pause or record live TV by adding a USB Samsung hard drive.
We plugged in the same hard drive to new TV. It is recognised and appears in devices but when we try to record or pause TV it says "not available".
I have tried alternative USB flash drives - with same outcome.
Any ideas? Is it a setting or fault?
