Optical audio sampling rate

I wish to connect my UE32T5300 TV to my HiFi amp which has analogue phono inputs.

The analogue phono outputs on the TV do not work so I will have to use the Digital Optical Analogue output provided, can you please give me details of the digital signal so I can select the correct converter.  Like the sampling rate and format of the digital signal.

the standard for dolby audio is 48,000. im not 100% sure thats the correct sample rate but it is considered the standard. for high def audio
