I have a notification on my TV since 27/09/21 asking me to select COM_SID_YES or COM_SID_NO but have no idea what it's about so haven't chosen yet. What is it? What should I do?

In fairness, probably not working over the weekend. I expect we'll have a solution later today 😉

Hi all,

I hope that you all had a great weekend. This is being looked at by our TV Specialists, we will post their advice as soon as we receive a response.

Hi guys,

The TV Specialists have reassured us that the notification is just the TV asking if you’d like to set up a Service Provider, i.e. the source you receive programming from e.g Terrestrial (Freeview), Sky or Virgin or even just TV Plus.

Once confirmed to the TV, the Universal Guide will add recommended content for that specific provider instead of generic sources which you may not have access to.

The actual onscreen messaging appears to have gone a bit askew though – which has been fed back to the folks at HQ. Onscreen message of the notification should read:

"Select a Service Provider?

Yes

No"

For now, you simply need to select an answer: Yes or No.

The message will only appear again if you reset your TV.
