No UHD on Sky Q

I had a 4K LG which I have replaced with a Samsung Frame QLED, 4K 2022.

Previously when watching something like Sky Sports, I would turn to the channel, the Sky box would identify that I had UHD capabilities and give me an option to switch to UHD.

I bought my Frame on the basis it was of the quality needed to continue to watch UHD. However, with the frame I get no prompt apart from “Press the red button to watch in UHD and watch replays”, if I press that there is no UHD option and it stays just in HD.

Please let me know if you can help. Thank you.

Hi @JoeSmoke  The Frame is definitely UHD capable with appropriate content.  Firstly check that Input Signal Plus is switched on, this needed for external connections.  Go to Settings-General-External Device Manager-Input Signal Plus.

On the Q Box check Settings-Set up-Audio Visual-picture Resolution.   For UHD should be set to 2160p and best setting is 10 bit, technically this model's panel depth is 8 bits +Frame Rate Control (FRC)  but should display as 10 bit. https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model  I have a TV  which is 8 bits + FRC and UHD    works fine.  A bit about the difference here (though focusing on monitors)  https://www.benq.com/en-us/knowledge-center/knowledge/10-bit-vs-8-bit-frc-monitor-color-difference.h...
