No TV sound through Panasonic home theatre system

Just replaced an older Samsung TV with a newer one.  The new TV is UN58 TU 7000 and I can't get any TV sound to play through the (Panasonic SA PT750) home theatre system.  Sound through home theatre works fine if I play a DVD, but if I want only TV sound through home theatre I get nothing.

HDMI input to tv from satellite, and home theatre connection to HDMI eARC 

Tried many suggestions with toggling expert settings options, sound options and no success for just TV sound through home theatre.

Any suggestions?

try a cheap optical cable from ebay amazon etc if your hmthr has a input for one to the opt in/out on tv,£3-5. specifying the lengh,

Thank you for your suggestion.  This will be a last resort as I was hoping it could be done with just the single cable, and a setting on the TV
