Have just purchased a 43" Smart TV UE43AU8000KXXU.  Since it has an Internet connection, I assumed that it would enable me to view Amazon Prime videos (yes, I subscribe) without having to use another device.  Yes, I can use a separate laptop connected with an HDMI cable, but it's a pain in the neck. And a trip hazard!  Why can I not just connect with the TV's Internet Browser, log on to Amazon Prime and run a video?  It comes back and says unable to display on this device...

It's probably because of DRM issues. You can always install the Prime app.

Thank you for your prompt response, which is much appreciated.

Sorry, I have no idea what DRM means.

Are you able to explain in simple terms how I would install the Prime app...?

Thank you.

Sure. Look on your remote for the Smart Hub button, press it and apps on your TV should show up,select Prime, enter your username and password and you should be good to go.
