new samsung tv and trying to use guide

hi

i had no problem setting up my new samsung tv but when i press guide it does not show the regular stations such as bbc1 and bbc2...starts at channel 4001 (the stations available through my subscription). how do i access bbc1 to press select?

re a follow-up connecting to Free view TV

I had an IT friend along see if he could figure out how to set the tv up for Free view tv bbc1 etc. Unfortunately, he could not figure it either. Frustrating because the tv and remote is working fine except for this glitch e.g. no problem accessing amazon prime etc. and the 'guide' - stations commencing with 4001.

Using the Samsung Remote Control: for the settings/number/option button - this button does not work; might this be part of the problem? the note reads: "the smart things app using this button may not be supported depending on the model". Is my Samsung crystal DU&100 43" 2024 tv model not supported?

I followed your directives above regarding source and live tv and did a scan. O showed in all categories.

Perhaps now that you have my model number you can provide the hands on directions? thank you for your patience.

@Members_P6LxCbu: To begin with, please ensure that you have a coaxial cable securely inserted into the back of your TV. Now, head to Settings > All Settings > Broadcasting > Auto Tuning Settings > Auto Tuning. Does this produce any results? 

If so, press and hold the Channel Up/Down button on your Smart remote to open the Channel List > Press the Left direction button to open the Category list > Navigate to 'All', and select. Alternatively, try selecting 'Channel Type' and exploring your options from here. 

Also, from the Guide, press the '123' button on the remote > Aerial type > Terrestrial, to see if this helps.

Hi, 

we have the same TV MODEL. 
I eventually worked out how to add Freeview onto the TV. 
it was in the settings, broadcast and the TV scans for all that channels. I know have all the channels. I found the instructions on here.
