@michael baguio: When the TV is in standby, is the light in the corner flashing or constantly lit? When you switch it on, can you try pressing the Volume Up/Down button, or the Menu button, to see if anything shows up on screen? If you can see the on screen menu options, try tapping the Source button on the remote and switching sources, on the off chance that the TV is powering on to an unassigned source. You may also wish to try powering off the TV, unplug it at the wall for 30 seconds, plug it back in and power back on using the remote to see if this helps.
