My Samsung has a black shade on the left side! (Bells of Churn)

I’ve had my 55 inch Samsung for a little less then 3 years and the left side of my screen is black. I’ve tried the diagnostic picture test and that did not fix the issue. I’ve tried unplugging for several minutes and that did not fix the issue. 
I’m lead to believe that Samsung TVs are built to last for a minimum of 3 years. I feel like I’ve thrown my money away:(

I’ve had my LG TVs for about 10 years and they’re still up and running.

This does look like a Back-light issue.. unfortunately this will need to more than likely be repaired..
Do you know how long the Warranty was/is on the TV?
normally the higher spec ones have the longet manufactures warranty.
