Hi all,
I needed to factory reset my Samsung UE43AU8000 TV from John Lewis
Downloading the terms and conditions results in the following error code "Model ID and version are not valid error code 2014506-1"
Please see attached images, can anyone point me in the right direction?
Many thanks in advance.

I am facing the same issue from last 1 week, really disappointed from a brand like Samsung.

Hey, everybody.
Faced the same problem, and do not imagine I found a way to solve this problem, also bilo error in the test smart hub 40001 and error 2014506-1, in short, just go into the engineering menu of the TV and do factory reset, it helped me and 2 of these errors no longer popped up.

I had a similar problem and a Flash reset helped:
1. turn on the TV
2. press and hold for 5 sec. the “Power” button on the TV (in my case it is from under the Samsung sign on the bottom of the TV)
3. then press and hold the “Power” button on the remote control for 5 sec.
4. wait 30 sec. - 1 min. TV start logo will show for a moment and disappear
Then wait 30 sec. - 1 min. TV will start automatically showing PnP start page
Important: This method is recommended for TVs connected to the Internet, because after the reset some settings are restored through the network. It can restore the entire TV to factory settings. If the TV is not connected to the network- it must not be performed.
Important: When performing the reset, do not unplug the power cord. When the TV does not respond for 3 minutes, try to turn on the TV with the remote control AND try to perform the reset again.

This error popped up on our Samsung yesterday. Went to watch BBC iPlayer and it said it wasn't supported by our TV?? Done a full reset and got the error code when trying to agree terms to allow smart TV functions. Straight on the phone to Samsung who couldn't help, phone John Lewis who couldn't help. Now have a technician coming Thursday to fix it. In the meantime time our TV is now just a regular telly but with loads of channels.

The problem occurs when the TV downloads an incorrect update, causing it to malfunction. Error code 2014506-1 indicates a mismatch between the model number and serial number of the TV. If the mismatch is not critical, clearing the cache memory may help, as the cached TV information does not match the downloaded information.
To do this, hold down the power button for 20 seconds while the TV is on, or unplug it from the power source for 30 seconds. You can try performing a factory reset through the regular menu. If this does not fix the problem, you will need to perform a factory reset through the service menu under Options - Factory Reset (hidden menu). To learn how to enter and work with the menu, you can find it in the guide.
When solving this problem, the technician checks the model number on the sticker and compares it with the number in the TV menu. If the numbers do not match, they enter the engineering menu and perform a factory reset. This reset restores the TV to the first OS reference version loaded at the factory.
The reason the TV downloaded the wrong update can be difficult to determine. It may be due to a mismatch between the model and OS version on Samsung's servers or a malfunction when the TV transmits information about its model.

They took our TV away and replaced the motherboard and the screen too. No idea why they replaced the screen as well. Anyhow none of the fixes suggested on here, by Samsung or John Lewis worked hence a new motherboard
