Missing SkyQ Shortcuts - QE50Q80BATXXU

Hi,

I've just got a QE50Q80BATXXU TV.  It's all set up okay and has detected my SkyQ box.  I can change through the Sky channels with the Samsung remote but don't see any way to get to the SkyQ menu to access the channel guide, recordings, etc. without having to go back to the Sky remote.

Searching the forum, it seems the Sky app on the home page should come with a row of shortcuts above it (e.g. https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/tv/sky-q-shortcuts/m-p/6721150) but I don't get that.  All I ever have on the top section of the home page is an advert for Samsung TV Plus (which is starting to get a little irritating already).

I've tried reconnecting a few times, as suggested here but it's still the same.

Can anybody help with some advice? What am I missing here?

Just to add, I've done a full system reset and updated the software to the latest version - still the same.

The (horrible) workaround with the SmartRemote of scrolling through menus off the '123' button does work.  Can't for the life of me work out what the equivalent route would be for the standard remote.

Have had a chat with Samsung Support and @twuk 's workaround for the Smart Remote is the solution to my problem.  There is no way to access the SkyQ menu using the standard remote.
