Missing Remote for TV, Can't connect

I have a Samsung TV model UN40M5300AF but am missing the remote and cannot get the TV connected to wifi. I have tried several things including smartphone apps on my Galaxy S8, using a docking station, and a USB keyboard...none of these worked. The power button does not operate as a jog button and there are no other buttons or hidden panels.

I am unable to get to the settings menu and unable to take the TV out of TV+ mode.

Other than, "Buy a new remote," does anyone have any suggestions?

Then how do I connect the phone to the TV? The TV, when powered on, goes directly to TV Plus, which is not something I've ever used.

You need both your phone and tv on the same network,

Whats tge problem with the tv not connecting to the tv? Is it wireless
