Is there a way to turn on the sound when connecting a device in the HDMI-DVI port?

Hi,

I have a UE32M5505A Samsung Smart TV. It has 3 HDMI ports, one of which is a HDMI-DVI port. Because the first two ports are already being used, I would like to connect this third port to another device, but it has no sound. I'm not using a HDMI-DVI cable, but a HDMI-HDMI one. Is there a way to turn on the sound?

I've got a Kodi box connected to my TV using a bog standard hdmi cable and have no issues. Try swapping cables, make sure they are seated correctly and make sure the device you are adding is working properly.
