@AntS Looks like another fun event. Will include some information I posted earlier on another thread here.
A look at the 2021 Line up,taking the technology to the next level with a New light souce and a poweful picture processor optimises for Neo QLED. The 8k models feature Infinity One Design which should create an amazing high tech experience. Samsung are focusing on long term sustainability and will aim to lower power consumption. Comes with the new Solar Cell Remote Control. The Verge claims the new technology offers much better picture quality and promises better contrast and far less blooming.
The First look highlights will give you more of an idea :
Thought UnBox and Discover was an interesting presentation, even if I knew quite a bit about the new models. We see the new Micro LED Technology where you can view 4 screens simultaneously (Quad View. With the Neon QLED "The Samsung Neo QLED viewing experience is defined by our Neo Quantum Processor, and new Quantum Mini LEDs. At just 1/40th the size of conventional LEDs, Quantum Mini LEDs allow for ultra-fine light control. With deep blacks, bright lights, and upscaling technology smarter than any Samsung TV has ever offered, Samsung Neo QLED delivers an ultra-realistic picture—whether you are watching a football game, or playing one on your gaming console." see more here https://news.samsung.com/global/samsung-unboxes-its-2021-lineup-letting-you-discover-more-of-what-y... Good to see the Frame Tvs with "The shelf", dedicated shelf for mounting "the Terrace" which has been mentioned before for outside viewing that has protections against the elements. https://www.techradar.com/uk/news/samsung-the-frame-gets-a-new-tv-accessory-and-its-literally-a-shel... https://www.flatpanelshd.com/article.php?subaction=showfull&id=1614697200 Tv's have developed quite a bit over the years and Samsung are focusing on sets that fit into our environment and lifestyle. Innovation important as hopefully we develop eventually into a largely post covid phase where nonetheless there may well be more flexible and remote working practices and one idea to meet demand is Samsung's Smart Monitors which can combine work and entertainment. https://www.samsung.com/uk/monitors/smart_monitors/
Quite a lot of shiny new stuff there! 😍
I liked the partnership with Etsy; The Premiere (even though I don't have the space anywhere at home to put up a decent screen for it 😄); and the work/play idea behind the Smart Monitor.
And LOL at Faker wondering if the developers of the Odyssey G9 torture aliens to get their tech. 😂 I would take a guess that there's some serious gamers amongst the developers though. 😎
as long as you dont update your apps on the smarttvs even if they are only 2-3 years old
