I want to use smart tv features without aerial or satellite input

Hi,

I have have a Samsung 55 JS8500 tv. 

I want to only use it to use the web browser and apps, without having an aerial connected.  (Do not watch to watch any tv channels) 

Whenever I launch the browser it constantly reverts to “weak or no signal” and asks me to scan for channels, preventing me from using it as kust to use the internet.  

How is do I get the tv to stop asking for channels to be scanned?

Is the TV connected to the internet, @Chris2019? Go to Menu > Network > Network Status.

Yes, using the internet is fine. Let’s say I’m watching You Tube, the tv stops what I’m watching and returns to wanting to scan / tune for channels.  

I want to prevent it from keep stopping the internet due to me not having an aerial / satellite plugged into it.

If you go to Menu > Broadcasting, is Auto-Program active? If so please disable this feature as it may be the source of your current issue.

Do not use the TV app. That's for the co-ax antenna input.
