How do I turn offf the power sound on a UE40H6400AK?

It's driving me mad - been through all the menus and can't see anywhere to turn this off.

The TV is in the bedroom and I need to leave it turned on otherwise it will wake up the kids when I power it on.

Come on Samsung, make this stuff easy/obvious 😞

Let's try this: On your Samsung remote. Press the MENU button. At the bottom of your screen, you have the setup selections. Scroll over to the SOUND option and select that, A menu should appear and toward the bottom of the menu, you should see MELODY. Scroll down to that and select ON or OFF.

No “Melody” option.

Tried “Reset” and been through all the options.

If you’re using external speakers the Melody option might be disabled. You’ll have to change the audio configuration temporarily to internal speakers. Doing so should make the Melody option available. After you turn the chimes off, go back and set the speakers to external.
