HDMI Switcher controlled by tv without losing features

I have a UE65TU7100 and it has 2 HDMI inputs.

i would like to add inputs but i dont want to lose features in the process.

what i mean by this is i want to be able to select which input i want to use using the tv remote and also i currently use the smart features via google home to say (for example) 'okay google, change tv to HDMI2' if i add a switcher i dont want to lose that feature.

if this is not possible that is extremely frustrating but i hope it may be possible.

Sorry for the Hijack, can I possibly ask which HDMI switcher you have as I have tried 2 and with no luck, all I’m looking to use is -virgin tv ,PS4 and fire stick, but it always says not recognised, any reply appreciated
