My tv is too dark. On brightness test pattern I cannot see most of the blacks above reference black. I know this is a widesprread problem and no user setting can fix it.
I think the issue is that the tv uses "low black level" as default. When using an HDMI source that allows you to set the black level from the menu, setting it to normal solves the issue (I did this to calibrate the tv and everything worked like a charm, so it's not an hardware issue). Unfortunately the HDMI black level option is greyed out when watching content from built-in apps.
Any suggestion?
