I have a HDD 2TB which is not recognised by my Samsung Smart TV UA50TU8000WXXY I have retuned the channels and reset it to no avail the same HDD was recognised by my sister's Samsung Smart TV hers is a different model her computer showed that the HDD has been formatted I am very confused and frustrated any advice would be greatly appreciated

format means it has been wiped may have been corrupted when it was formatted if it has infact been corrupted its not likely it will work again.

does the hdd work with your pc ?? as it could be a network problem.
