Getting headphone/audio out from Samsung UE43TU8500

I've just got a Samsung 43 inch T8500 on a friend's recommendation but, unlike my last Samsung, it's got no headphone out. With my last Samsung I used an audio splitter to put it through both headphones and speakers, but there's no 3.5 out. How do I get around this?

The best solution I've discovered so far seems to be getting a DAC audio converter, plugging the optical out from the TV into it, and doing things that way. Though if I do use optical out on the TV, does that automatically shut off the speakers? The point of headphones is so I can use the TV at all hours. Right now, I'm stuck with using the built-in speakers.

Would this work or is there another easier way to do things?

What about Bluetooth headphones?

Maybe, but from my experience with bluetooth speakers, there's a slight delay between the sound being played and hitting the speakers.

OK, to answer your original question, selecting optical out connection on the TV does disable the TV speakers.
