relating to the 1497 update , I've heard that Samsung added new power modification to the firmware so that will be conform with a new European power or energy standards , if that's correct i can see why the brightness with the 1497 update is dimmer , the q95t was rated a class B at ennergy consumption , is this information correct in the 1497 fw changelog ?

Hi everyone! So I am from Poland - and I have also experiences issues with my Q90T (less then a year old tv) after an update to 1497. Service in my country ask me to MAKE VIDEOS showing WHAT HAS CHANGED that I dont like! This is crazy becouse I don`t have samples of what was the pecture before. In 100 % it is way dimmer now and I experience A LOT OF strange artifacts / blur / behaviours especially when watching upscale content. Colors where so washed that I had to make them up in settings! As an IT specialist I am ALMOST SURE that they lower the power consumption by lowering the brightness and CPU usage (like PC manufactures do when they PC warm up to much). I am so mad at Samsung (I have 3 TV from them) that I will PROBABLY NOT buy any other in nearest future! BUT I AM NOT SURE if changing the power characteristics of product bought in 2020 to match some standards in 2021 is even legal as now my tv is not matching the characteristics of the original product that I agried to buy. Mayby I wanted a tv that consumes MORE POWER but OUTPUT BETTER IMAGE QUALITY! Changing the power class is not something like changing some details in dimming alghorithm. I am asking about this becouse I am wondering about sending the tv back (yes it is nearly one year old) and I am searching for law possibilities to do so! Samsung should send this disaster update to ONLY new tvs! THE PICTURE AFTER UPDATE LOOKS SO UGLY / BLURRY at some tv stations that now my PC monitor shows better content 😕

what does mean in the 1497 fw changelog " Adjustments to the EU energy regulations in 2021 have been made " did they limit the CPU powe usage and did they reduce the UPSCALING performance , so the power usage of the tv will be adjusted to EU energy regulations ?

i'm always setting my hdmi input to PC MODE , and it was stunning for media consumption not gaming because i use my pc for work and multimedia , but the picture quality degrades after the 1497 firmware even with the same settings that were perfect for me previously , so i get the same conclusion over and over and that is the 1497 fw has limited the brightness and the cpu voltage and by consequence has detriorated the tv media experience for me , watching my q95t in 2k resolution like watching a cheap chinese tv model , tv is less backlight bright more dimmed and the SDR content are ugly fuzzy and noisy .

are you sur that your tv problem is related to the 1497 firmware ?
