I Beleive so yes, but i see no confirmation  and samsung are still yet to reply to confirm

I too am looking for a response on this. Having spoken to the support team over the phone, I have been given contradicting information where some advisors confirmed that the warranty applies even when buying through the online direct website and when I've made the purchase and go to register it, I am being told that this is not the case!? Disappointed with Samsung so far.
