Getting Error code 202 when trying to use apps or do anything on my tv via wifi.. The strange thing is I get "connected to the internet" via wifi, but then trying to use Netflix, hulu, etc...it doesn't work...digging deeper I found that I "cannot connect to smart hub" because there is an "ip blocking the service. error code 202." Everything works fine when I hard wire a lan cable...but that's not practical for my setup.
Ive had the tv for a solid 8 months and it worked fine..this just started happening.
No clue what to do... So far I've:
- factory reset the tv
- reset network
- put DNS server to 8888
- updated software (via lan)
- unplugged tv for 5 min
- called internet provider..they assured me there was no block on their end...
Need help getting tv to connect to my wifi. very strong speeds..good modem/router (netgear NightHawk and Orbi mesh system)
Again, everything's been fine for 8 months. I've done nothing different..Please help! I've looked everywhere! Thanks!

I went into setting and expert settings and disabled ipv6, then power down and up tv. I've seen this before in the surface pro.

Thank you very very very much for making the effort of writing the post and providing the solution to the (same ) problem my TV was experiencing. I couldn't access any apps viz. YouTube, Netflix etc......
I followed your suggestion and unplugged the different components and then powered them up again....and it worked!!!👍👍👍 All sorted out now😁😁. Greatly appreciated!

It sounds like your Samsung TV is experiencing an issue with the ISP blocking access to the Smart Hub. One possible solution you can try is to change the DNS settings on your TV to use a different DNS server. You mentioned you already tried using 8888, but you can also try other public DNS servers such as Google's DNS (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare's DNS (1.1.1.1).
Another thing you can try is to check if there are any firmware updates available for your TV. You mentioned that you updated the software via LAN, but it's worth double-checking if there are any newer versions available.
If none of these solutions work, you may need to contact Samsung support and ask for assistance with resolving the issue. They may be able to provide further troubleshooting steps or escalate your case to their engineering team for further investigation.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Recently I had same issue "ISP blocking service, Error 202" showed up suddenly while my TV was working great for more than a year. Neither Xfinity nor Samsung was able to figure it out - which is really weird. However, solution is super easy. Please check your Router Wifi settings to make sure your tv is connected to 2.4 GHz and not 5 GHz. I have Linksys Smart Wifi Router and when I did set up my router about a year ago I created only one network for both 2.4 and 5 GHz. I never had any issues. However, for some reasons, recently systems are switching everything to 5GHz by default and creating conflicts if both 2.4 and 5 GHz has given same network name . I separated 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz by giving them separate network names and connected TV to 2.4 GHz. It worked and everything is back to normal. Hope this helps for everyone as well.

Tried this for my QLED Samsung tv on which I was getting the error code 202. Didn’t really hold out much hope but it worked. No problems now. Thanks for sharing this .

I have a suspicion is it a bug in Samsung's band steering causing the TV to think it's not connected. That is, when you have 2.4 and 5.8GHz on one SSID. Only since enabling this on my router have I started seeing the problem when I turn my TV on from standby every morning after the router reboots during the night. It only happens for that first turn on.
I suspect my DNS blocker is not causing the issue because if I off/on the TV, it seems to force it to reconnect to the network, everything works fine. I don't need to restart or unplug anything in my case. Occasionally it takes more than one go, but never more than 3 so there might be a minimum off time for it to "forget" the WiFi.
I'm not power cycling the TV, just using the power button on the remote to put in standby. Waiting 10-20 ish seconds then power up using the remote again.

Something wrong happens, I can't connect my Samsung TV to any wifi and router, I try a sSmart Hub connection test, the IPS blocking test progress and unable to complete. ERROR CODE 202
