eARC to be updated on Q900R and not on a Q950R? is this correct?

I'm asking this really for Samsung, I just been told by support that eARC update will be coming out on the Q900R but not the Q950R? the Q900R is the older model I dont understand?

yeh thats silly - did the new firmware fix this?

Update the Q950R to software version 1401 and eARC settings are available in the sound: advanced settings.
