Diffuser lenses on LED backlit TV

Hi,

I have an old Samsung TV UE40J5100AK and a lot of the plastic lenses diffusing the light from the LED backlights have fallen off. This had caused hazy bright spots to appear on the screen.

I opened up the TV and sellotaped them back in place but upon reassembly there is still a 'halo' effect from where I imagine bright light is bleeding out from around my hasty repairs.

Is there a tried and tested method of re-attaching the lenses, and if so what is it? Could the tape be causing its own issue (see photo)?

Ouch u brave in opening a TV

Fortune favours the bold... I removed the tape and used little dabs of glue instead - worked a treat.

Did it have 2 diffuser panels, if yes which way did they go in? One with locating tabs first, and one without directly behind the main screen?
