Delete BBC iPlayer

I have a UE48JU6400 smart TV. I would like to delete the iPlayer app as I intend to do without BBC content and stop paying my TV licence. When I try to delete the app it says it is a recommended app and it is not possible. Surely I must be able to delete it and thereby avoid any misunderstandings with the licence authorities?

Nope Samsung get a backhander for all apps that are undeletable, tough if you need the memory Samsung dont care. My TV memory down to less than 1% with no installed apps only those forced on me by Samsung. I think Watchdog and Which need to do an expose.

You can lock it which removes it from your screen.Go to apps.scrool to blue Smart tv app.lock this app with 0000 .Also lock BBC sport,news and iPlayer.No longer on screen.
