Howdy. Brand new Q950TS 85” TV.

on any dark movie scene we get these two dark rectangular areas (see photo).

I have tried turning off adaptive/intelligent settings but there is no change.

Only happens when the scene is dark  on lighter scenes the picture is perfect

Do I need to return this expensive beast?

Here is the diagnostic picture test

You can see the same strange dark squares

it’s really bad  this was quite an expensive TV  Samsung is sending a repair person to look at it

would not recommend you spend $12k on this TV  absolutely horrible   760E67F8-D8B5-4D81-8D73-85D6A5EA8799.jpeg

About 18 hours. Ordered new directly from Samsung and delivered yesterday.

put it up on the wall and began noticing those black areas right away. Contacted Samsung tech support and they said they would not replace it. So now I wait for a repair person.

Not a great investment of $12k. Gawd…unbelievable.

That's terrible service from a tv that cost that much! Samsung should be ashamed of themselves

I had the problem when I first bought this product, but I discovered that the family used to put the TV on the external connection. The only problem is that you need to put it on a stronger and more stable electricity, as I did and put it on the wall

Thanks Brho0m13.  Could you clarify what you mean? The issue happens on any streaming of video, even using the built-in Samsung apps such as Netflix or AppleTV. So it is not an external device causing this effect.

Do you mean you somehow had issues with the power source? Our 110V power here is clean and we really don’t have fluctuation issues.

I don't mean that, I mean that my family put this huge TV on the external connection

, so the TV was affected like the problem you have

The only problem is the electric, however if you think you did everything right ask for a warranty

Through experience the problem is completely gone and solved
