Dark patches on H6400

3 realy annoying dark patches have appeared on my screen, they are only really notioceable when watching programms  with a lot of single colour (sports green pitche etc)  have seen Youtubes clips about rubbing screen with frozen bacon and the like but I do not want to wreck the tv.  TV is 18 months old no extended warrantee 

Any ideas how to remove myself or the cost of having it done professionally

LOL! Can't say that bacon is part of our offical troubleshooting repertoire... apart from throwing into a pan and then into a couple of slices of bread. :smileytongue:

Do those patches appear on the TV's Picture Test? Menu > Support > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test.
