I have a portable hard drive with lots of media files on it. It does not have its own power source.
The TV has become erratic on recognising whether the external HDD has any files on it (it does).
So I wondered if I could connect it via the micro B super speed to a HDMI port?
Would the portable hard drive still get power from this port?
Would the TV recognise the files via HDMI and play them?
