Change channel without the remote? UE40H6400AK

Hi,

My 88 year old dad is in a care home and has somehow managed to lose the remote to his TV.  

He's very upset because the TV is now the only entertainment he has and, because he's lost the remote, when he turns the TV on he can't work out how to change the channel. (It comes on on CH4).

I've ordered a new universal remote for him but it's not going to arrive til next week.  Is there a way of him changing the channel by using a button or buttons on the TV itself?

I have had a look into this and it appears that the TV is having some side buttons that can be used to change the channels and/or volume until he will get the new remote. 

Alternatively, you can download him our Smart View app to use his phone as a remote. Find more information about how to locate the buttons and use this app on this page.
