I own a Philips TV but I have the same problem like this person on Reddit:

He owns Samsung RU7100 and he can't cast videos from his laptop to the YouTube app on his TV.
The cast icon in the video player is not visible anymore.
In order for this feature to work you need:
1. A Smart TV which has the YouTube app
2. Computer and TV must be in the same network
3. On computer, go to YouTube.com in Chrome browser, select a video and click the cast icon in the video player
4. The YouTube app on TV must be started.

I suppose it's a bug in the YouTube app on TV or in the TV's software but I might be wrong.
Could anyone from the staff please check into this and report it to YouTube eventually?
I've been sending them feedback every day via https://www.youtube.com/tv/feedback since 1 month. There has been at least 3 YouTube app updates since my first feedback but problem persists.
Both me and this person have tried to reinstall the YouTube app, reinstall Chrome but without any luck.
