Can I mirror my screen to my sky q box

I was told my sky box acts like a chromecast but I can't mirror my phone to the TV through it please help

No, what you were told is incorrect.

The problem I have is I can cast you tube to my TV via my sky box

Obviously you can screen mirror to your  Tv instead.
