Hi, my TV fired up a horrible burning smell and now doesnt work.

Took out the power socket immediately. Tried putting it back in to check again. Red light LED as normal, no TV.

This was really dangerous, and fortunately I was there when it happened.

What to do now!?

Buy a new TV 🤷 .
But seriously it's a good job you were home when it happened, could of been more than your TV that went up in flames.

You can either attempt a repair yourself, take it to a repair shop, push it over so it falls and breaks then claim a new one through home insurance (fraud), or if its under warranty get it repaired by Samsung.

What was equally as dangerous was plugging it back in after the horrible burning smell came out of it. Never do that with electrical goods. If it's under warranty still contact Samsung via the Request Help button in the Members app if that's what you are using to post with. They take electrical faults seriously.

Hi @SinghWho, sorry to hear about this. Samsung takes such cases very seriously. I've sent you a message with instructions, please reply when possible.
