When I connect the bose speaker via hdmi to the earc port on the TV  it says " audio device is connected to a port that does not support earc" but it is connected to the earc  port !

Annoying

Thanks

Colin

@Ccstew: Please can you confirm the model number of your TV, located on the sticker on the back of the device, or in Settings > Support > About This TV? In the meantime, please ensure that you have the HDMI cable connected to the eARC port on both the soundbar and TV.

@Ccstew: Potentially, however you may wish to reach out to Bose for further clarification. What I'd suggest is trying an HDMI 2.1 cable for ARC to eARC, or connecting via a standard HDMI port to avoid any potential compatibility issues. Depending on the Bose connection options, you may also wish to try connecting via Optical cable to see if this helps.

Thanks Andrew I tried optical and it didn't like it at all some sort of feedback and I have tried other cables so I will try Bose.
Thank you for your time and input.
Best wishes
