Hello,

I hope that if you’re reading this you can help me fix my TV.

Last week I was casually playing on my Playstation, and randomly my screen froze, most of it went black/green and then it turned off and on again. I have tried to restart it, it worked fine for about 3 minutes but then the issue started happening again.

I have tried to message the technical support but I haven’t heard back from them since this issue happened. I have attached a photo and a video to better explain the issue.

I hope that someone can find a solution to this bizarre issue.

I'm having the exact same problem. Bought the TV 03/12/2021 so I'm still under warranty but I'm starting to think this is a deffect that probably affects all the TVs of this model. Started yesterday while playing my PS5. The screen flickred, the image bacame static and just began turning it self on and off repetedly. Contacted Samsung and they are going to send in a technician to repair it.
Do you have any news on how they solved your problem?

I would contact Samsung and try to get it repaired even out of warranty! This seems to be a deffect that affects all TVs of this model so I think they should take the liability. The most curious thing is that they break very close or a few months after the warranty expires from what I have been reading online. One thing is for sure, I've had 2 Samsung TVs in a 4 year span, the next one wont be a Samsung....they just ain't made like they used to, the build quality is just horrendous in these new models.

Exactly the same issue with this model.

TV bought on 3rd of December 2020 in Portugal.

This is definatly an issue with this model/serie. Comments looks like to be from the same time.

Any firmware update recently?

Good evening. I contacted Samsung's customer support service. Since the warranty has already expired, they suggested that I go to a closer technical support service to investigate the problem. If it were a manufacturing problem/defect that was Samsung's responsibility, but that could only be analyzed by specialized technical support. Next week I will go to one of these official services and see what they say. But I don't believe I'll get good news. Very disappointed with the customer support service and the brand in general. A widespread problem, and nobody is willing to help.

I have the same TV and it's stopped working after 18 months. Comes on and switches itself off. I've been a loyal Samsung customer for 15 years, every TV I've ever bought has been Samsung. This is a 50 inch TV expensive and wanted it to last at least 5 years. If Samsung don't repair this TV ,I won't lay down I'll be going to trading standards and a solicitor. There's clearly a widespread fault on these TVs made during the pandemic that conveniently break just outside of the warranty. I'd advise all of you to do the same and get onto trading standards or your country equivalent. A product is supposed to last a reasonable amount of time and lifespan for the price.

Same issue happened to me. TV was rarely used. I got the TV in December 2020, the frustrating part is that the TV was supposed to have a 5 year warranty which cannot be found in the Samsung system, they are asking me for confirmation emails for extended warranties... which I cannot find. So they get around warranty by having certain policies. They do not really care about customers. The TV broke after 2.5 years... one of their approved repair shops quoted me 531 euro to repair the TV, diagnosis being that the screen is faulty... From now on I would stay away from samsung products... lately I have issues with my S21 ultra cameras too... their products are very poor...

also the customer support is crappy, always finding a way around not to support a repair...

such a scam with this TV i got.... paid 700 euro on it back in December 2020....
