Hi,
Looking through the forums, I'm assuming no one has still come up with a fix for the appalling BBC iplayer App.
I have the UE65CU8500 which I bought over Xmas and am more than happy with the TV other than this. But have these problems with this app:
1. Picture Clarity settings don't work EXCEPT for any UHD program which they are fine.
2. Judder on any HD transmission but again fine with UHD.
3. Pretty appalling picture quality in general except for UHD.
To put it simply, the app appears to be not really fit for purpose other than for UHD programs.
My fix at the moment involves watching all UHD stuff on iplayer on the Samsung app, and all normal HD programs on my Firestick 4k (which doesn't have UHD for the BBC app).
Other than buying a Firestick Max which I can't really warrant at the moment just for iplayer this seems to be the only workaround!
I've found the so-called 'urgently seeking solution' Samsung post, but it's hardly urgent if I appear to be seeing the same sort of issues from two years ago!

Is it now fixed ??
The other day I was watching the TV and a message popped up saying a software update was available. This seems like a major update and states it's an upgrade to 'One UI' which as I understand it is an attempt to make the UI consistent across different Samsung devices (Doesn't affect me as the TV is the only Samsung product I own)
Anyway, after it had finished installing the update I thought I'd give iPlayer a go and see if any different. Amazingly it seems to now be working OK although I haven't given it a decent test yet
Anyone else loaded the update yet and has it made any difference ?

I can concur that the 'One UI' update installed today finally fixes the BBC iPlayer stutter! Well done Samsung/BBC for finally fixing this (and possibly saving my marriage :-0) . My usual goto programme for testing stutter is Garden Rescue in the iPlayer, which WAS unwatchable due to stuttering when the camera panned left/right or up/down. Now, not only does it not stutter but the picture seems a lot clearer.

In my previous post I forgot to say that as well a the OneUI installation I also enabled the Beta version of iPlayer - from the Setting within iPlayer.

Thanks. I have tried that. Mine is still a millisecond or two out, resolved by a pause. Samsung called me and said that this is being looked at and they are aware. Funny thing is, I have had this problem with iplayer for one year. Tizen is beyond a joke.
